Jorge Carvalho (JC) tem um longo currículo associado à produção e concepção de eventos de restituição história. Para além do seu trabalho de concepção e realização cenográfica de grandes produções televisivas (de onde se destacam os “Jogos sem Fronteiras”), JC esteve no cerne de toda a cenografia dos festivais de Óbidos (Mercado Medieval de Óbidos,Vila Natal). No âmbito dos trabalhos de museografia viva do património histórico-arqueológico tem-se dedicado à restituição (reenactment) de combate e artes da guerra medieval e renascentista e da Arte dos scriptoria medievais de iluminura e caligrafia. É um ilustrador consagrado de temática medieval e renascentista.
JORGE CARVALHO (JC) has a long curriculum in conceiving and producing historic re-enactment events. He worked on the conception and the scenographic production on large television shows (with a highlight to the “Jogos sem Fronteiras”) and cinema. He developed scenographic work related to museography conceiving shows linking physical objects to visual and sound environments, namely the “De Goa a Lisboa” and the“O navio do último Inca”, among other exhibitions. JC was in the heart of the Óbidos festivals ' scenography (Mercado Medieval de Óbidos, Óbidos Vila Natal). The creation of meetings and workshops getting together archaeologists, historians and re-enactment artists is other experiences he develops aiming to bring authenticity and state-of-the-art to the audiences. Under the topic of the historic-archaeologic heritage museography JC has been dedicated to the re-enactment of medieval and renaissance fighting, and the arts of medieval scriptoria with miniature illustrations (iluminura) and calligraphy. JC is an acknowledged illustrator specialised on medieval and renaissance themes.
